About Patrice
I am an artist originally from Old Bridge, New Jersey. Back home they know me as Patty Hoban. I have been painting since I was seven. I had the most wonderful and nurturing art teacher in the world growing up. Her name was Marcia Rubenstien. I took classes at her studio all though school.
Before moving to Atlanta, I went to college and received my BFA from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. I spent 5 years as a Conceptual Art Director at Young and Rubicam in NY. I loved the thinking part of my job, but I wasn't cut out to stare at a computer all day. I started missing the freedom you have when you create your own art. I never dreamed I could make a living painting murals. It is a dream job. To see a child's face light up when they walk in their bedroom is priceless.
Over the past nine years, I have built my own clientele here in Atlanta and around the country. I was even asked to paint murals for Extreme Makeover Home Edition, but because I had previous commitments with another client, I had to turn it down. Yes, I do regret it!
I truly do have a dream job that allows me to play all day. I assure you, I will not be at your home too long. My clients are always amazed by how fast I paint. I explain, I may be fast but I am a perfectionist when it comes to my work!
I also have a few passions that include traveling, wine tasting, and dogs.
I hope you've enjoyed my portfolio.
